Day 1 of my “virtual” run to Key West, Florida

Day 1, hope all goes well!

I’m a runner, and years ago, I began logging my miles in a log book.  I wondered where on a map I would end up if I counted my weekly miles and marked them on a map. My goal was simple, run enough miles to get to Key West, Florida. This is about 1400 miles from Palisades Park High School. So, I decided to make if fun by Photoshopping myself in various places along US Route 1, which travels through Pal Pk and ends in Key West. Over the years I’ve printed the pictures out along and posted them in my classroom along with maps of the states I was “running” though. Again, I ran the miles, just not in these locations!
